JOIN SINGWEST

SingWest is a non-auditioned choir, so you don’t need to be a seasoned singer to join us. Nor do you need to be able to read music. However, some of our repertoire is challenging, we generally perform without sheet music, and we take pride in the quality of our performances - so you need to be able to commit to attending rehearsals, learning the material and putting in the work to ensure we create the best sound possible.

You also need to be able to commit to our guidelines around things like attendance, rehearsal etiquette and performance presentation.

We suggest that you come along to a few rehearsals so that we can get a feel for each other before applying to join. We rehearse in Williamstown on most Monday evenings, from 7.30pm until 9.30pm. If you are interested in talking further about joining us, email us at singwest@singwest.com.au

REHEARSAL VENUE

We rehearse at the Hobsons Bay Yacht Club, 270 Nelson Pl, Williamstown VIC 3016 from 7:30pm. New members are welcome to come along to try a few rehearsals but we do ask that you contact us first - email us at singwest@singwest.com.au

COSTS

We have a joining fee and an annual membership fee, which we will discuss with you. These fees help us to cover the various costs associated with keeping the choir running. We also operate a number of fund-raising activities each year which can be a great platform for businesses to promote their products or services too.
